# How do I use a discount or promo code?

## If your purchase includes a promotion, coupon, or discount code, you can apply it during checkout on TheReadyState.com.

If your **course, protocol, membership, or equipment purchase** has a promotion, coupon, or discount code attached to it, enter the code in the **Coupon Code** field during checkout.

**![Screenshot 2026-10-03 at 4.18.48 PM](https://help.thereadystate.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-03%20at%204.18.48%20PM.png?width=477&height=295&name=Screenshot%202026-10-03%20at%204.18.48%20PM.png)**

After entering the code, select **Apply coupon** and confirm that the discount has been applied before completing your purchase.

### Important: coupon codes only work for web-created subscriptions

Coupon and promotional codes can only be applied to subscriptions created through **TheReadyState.com**.

If you create your subscription through an **Apple App Store** or **Google Play** in-app purchase, you will not be able to apply a Ready State coupon code during checkout.
