# The Mobility Coach app isn’t working correctly. What should I try first?

## If the Mobility Coach app isn’t loading, updating, or behaving as expected, try the steps below before contacting support.

1\. Make sure both the app and your device software are up to date

First, confirm that you’re running the latest version of the **Mobility Coach app**.

Check the **Apple App Store** or **Google Play Store** and install any available updates.

Also make sure your computer, phone or tablet is running the latest available operating systems

Keeping both the app and your device operating system up to date can resolve compatibility issues and other unexpected behavior.

If both are already up to date but the problem continues, try deleting and reinstalling the app.

### iPhone / iPad

Make sure you **delete the app completely** rather than only removing it from your Home Screen.

Choose **Delete App** when removing it, then reinstall the latest version from the App Store.

**\[SCREENSHOT PLACEHOLDER: iOS “Delete App” option\]**

### Android

Completely uninstall the app from your device.

If the issue continues after reinstalling, you can also clear the app’s cached data through your device settings. On most Android devices:

**Settings → Apps → Mobility Coach → Storage → Clear Cache**

The exact menu names may vary slightly by device.

2\. Force-close and reopen the app

Close the app completely so it is no longer running in the background, then reopen it and try again.

 3\. Check your internet connection

Confirm that your device has a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

If possible, try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data to see whether the issue changes.

4\. Sign out and back in

Sign out of your Mobility Coach account, close the app, reopen it, and sign back in using the email address associated with your membership.

 5\. Restart your device

A full device restart can clear temporary issues that may be affecting the app.

 6\. Still having trouble?

If the issue continues after trying the steps above, please make a note of:

- Your device type
- Your operating system version
- Your Mobility Coach app version
- What you were trying to do when the problem occurred
- Any error message you saw
- Whether the issue happens every time or only occasionally

Screenshots or a short screen recording can also be helpful.
